Yes ,.
and in fact, I’m not talking about anybody
elected in the recent past, (whatever their age)
but rather the (nearly) inevitable process
of $oul-$ucking that happens, especially
after decades of chasing power.
Once the Power level they’re after is achieved,
there is no incentive to release it.
The perks and privilege that accompany
power prove irresistable and addicting.
So they chase the rabbit for decades,
staying entrenched to their base/ideology
…until Mother Nature, or
(possibly but unlikely) they are voted OUT.
