With $35k in surgery, man turns self into elf

I’m well aware of the history of the term transgender. It has no legal or medical meaning, so it’s definition is a little fluid. I used it as “someone who’s genger identity is different than that assigned at birth” and that definition didn’t fit the cross dresser I was referring to, who certainly would have recoiled if anyone applied the term transgender to them. Also, I’m purposefully avoiding gender specific pronouns when referring to them because I’m no longer in contact with them and have no idea what pronouns they use. I just know they had gender confirmation surgery without obtaining a letter from a therapist first, later regretted it, and came to believe that every trans person was either gay, or a cross dresser, and just really confused. They were, frankly, an awful person. My only point is that, in my opinion, requiring some counseling prior to major, significant, and permanently body alterin surgery isn’t a bad idea.
