if you decide a couple years into it that you just aren’t into it at least you don’t have silly pointed ears.

That’s the thing, the reason why I’m surprised he hadn’t done the ears first - they got popular even with people who weren’t doing the whole hardcore elf cosplay, but just because they liked the look.
