So out of sheer pique I decided to try to share a Coke with Hitler. Sadly, they seem to have anticipated this act. Thing is, why is Hitler so special? Surely if they’re willing to block old Adolf, they’re certainly willing to shut down other ranking members of the Nazi party. Let’s say, Heinrich Himmler.

Oh dear. Leader of the SS, personally directed the Holocaust, you’d think that they’d be more careful about this. Let’s try Joesph Goebbels.

Oh my. Albert Speer?

Surely not Dr. Mengele?

So outside of the one identifiable “main bad guy”, Coca-Cola seems fine with sending the Nazi Party a virtual Coke. Let’s try other monsters of history. Idi Amin?

How about Augusto Pinochet?

Sadly Pol Pot was blocked. Jello Biafra would be proud.
About this time I was running into some sort of submission limit. Which doesn’t make sense - don’t they want to send the world a Coke? Oh well, switching browsers seems to resolve the issue. Handy hint: next time you want to institute submission limits do it on an account basis or by IP address guys. Cookie-based limits will only cause assholes like myself to easily step around them out of spite.
Lastly, besides Hitler, there’s one other individual you’d think they’d want to block, and yet both “Osama” and “Bin Laden” make it through just fine.

All in all, a fine example of why blocking “controversial” content doesn’t work.
