Here in Canada it is actually the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a newly created federal holiday to, hopefully, help us begin dealing with the history of genocide against indigenous peoples.
I appreciate the cynicism about avocado day, but this is a bit different. Unfortunate timing for a random blog post I guess.
