I don’t know if it’s corruption so much as cooptation.
To Zinke, an Interior Secretary’s job is to help private companies exploit government land. If a company wants to drill, his job is to facilitate them. As long as Zinke doesn’t do a quid pro quo (which, thanks to a recent SCOTUS decision is much harder to prove), he’s fine. Even if he takes a mining CEO job the day after leaving office, he’s fine. :gag:
