yes, raised that with @beschizza he is on it.

I am beginning to suspect this is a ploy to get us to bother looking at the main site again.

Evidently there are authors and articles I am entirely unaware of.

If you use an RSS reader you’ll see headlines for articles that were entirely deleted shortly after posting. It’s like a whole Dark BoingBoing lurking beneath the surface.

And her new article on Crime and Punishment.

I looks like Maggie Tokuda-Hall and Kiki Sanford had each put something in their wordpress “discourse username” fields without actually setting up those accounts. I took them out, let’s see if that fixes it!

Looks good to me !

So – frequently when I am using the CMS for the website I encounter some problems that our tech team and WP are working with us to solve. It occasionally results in the checkbox that creates a sister post here in the BBS to become unchecked before I publish a post. When that happens I have to go a) notice and b) go back and create the thread by checking the box and updating the post.

This may also be happening to other editors and could explain some of the BBS threads not being started in tandem with a post.

Our WP plugin has gotten a fair amount of love in the last year, perhaps its time @deanputney updates it, and perhaps magically it will fix that issue fingers crossed.

We have a new software guru coming onboard, Dean left us for an exciting startup! Perhaps it’ll be the opportunity for you guys to get to know Scott.

@deanputney left us? He is dead to me now. DEAD TO ME

So take a look at me now, oh there’s just an empty space
And there’s nothing left here to remind me,
just the memory of your face

Ah, there’s ongoing discussion on this issue.

Ms. Tokuda-Hall’s latest post still has no associated discussion.

It’s happening again on http://boingboing.net/2015/03/10/the-cost-effective-way-to-help.html.

I fixed this one. It is an error on the boing boing written side of the gateway, I think.

@jlw: I still frequently see the Discuss Link Loops in articles.

For example, on this article http://boingboing.net/2015/03/10/rutgers-online-course-tracks.html, I click the big blue DISCUSS button.

This then swipes down and turns into a big red button: Continue the discussion at bbs.boingboing.net

This button simply links back to the same article at http://boingboing.net/2015/03/10/rutgers-online-course-tracks.html.
