One’s first responsibility is to oppose injustice in one’s own country. If you want him to be a martyr just say so, but he’s already sacrificed a lot.

Sure, he could publish a laundry list of human rights and repression in literally every country in the world. None of that would detract from the validity of his choices as they relate to the USA (his country of citizenship) and its current exploitation of technology for repressive ends.

In other words, try again.

Kohlberg’s stages aren’t immutable. Kohlberg himself stated that people probably waver between a few, and barely anyone ever reaches 6, much less stay on that level.
