These chats are fascinating, but I suggest you listen to this one and see how many times the word “like” is interjected, by all the speakers, and not only does not advance the thought, but is actively annoying. I finally just had to turn it off because I couldn’t stand it any more, which is too bad, because it seemed as if it would be quite interesting. I realize conversation is informal, but if you want to be listened to, you’re best off not annoying the folk you’re talking to.
