Wow. It’s like Lessig performed it to the music.
Although it’s a quite impressive sonic marriage here, and blues would seem to be particularly appropriate, I can’t help but feel the mood of the track (or perhaps even most blues) works against Lessig’s call to arms - it sounds like a mood of tired resignation, as if to say, that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
IMO something in a punk vein might’ve hit the spot better…
Maybe there’s another Lessig speech that could be worked into an up-tempo thing… I agree with you that his call to arms needs a “Kick Out The Jams” feel to it.
