This Day in Blogging History: Frederic Brown's Mind Thing; Pratchett quilt; Ashcroft v Gilmore begins

Through late high school and early into college I read every one of Frederic Brown’s short (sometimes very short) stories I could find. They were funny, fun reads. I never did read any of his novels, other than Rogue In Space, which I didn’t care for much, but I think it might be time to do something about that.

The Mind Thing, that takes me back. I was in Jr. high when this was published. My friends and I were always in trouble because we were reading Brown, Asimov, Bradbury, Clark, Anderson, Harrison, Matheson and Dick in study hall instead of actually studying.
