Twitter joke thieves are getting DMCA takedowns

This. DMCA is overkill, but attribution is soooo easy in this case, why not? Twitter is a social space, and this is a fairly easy more to follow. Sure, people tell “jokes” without attribution, but I imagine those are unattributable, like “why did the chicken cross the road”. They are kinda like jokes that have entered the social public domain. You wouldn’t tell a known comedian’s standup bit without attribution, anyone who recognized it would give you a quite unkempt eyeball, unless everyone was already in on the reference. I mean, it’s like my grandmother always used to say about attribution of jokes: always, no, never…
