1972 interview with Moe Howard of the Three Stooges

Moe seemed to be the exact opposite of the mean “Moe” he played with the Stooges. Nothing but praise for the people he worked with.

He mentioned the studio he worked in as a child being at Avenue M and Neck Road in Brooklyn. He probably got some memories crossed in that those streets don’t cross and I don’t think the names have changed. Neck Road (Gravesend Neck Road) is a very old street dating back to the 1600s. But the Brighton Line of the subway at Neck Road was the site of the old Sheepshead Bay race track of that era. The kid Moe probably hung out there too when he should have been at school.
