It’s scientifically completely outdated, but Doyle’s aeronautical horror tale " The Horror of the Heights" still packs a punch.
i also preferred jeremy brett’s portrayal of holmes, and i gather i’m in good company as supposedly arthur conan doyle’s daughter was a fan too.
Conan Doyle wrote a bunch of pretty good SF and horror short stories, yeah.
Randomly watch these all the time, as its still on repeat on ITV3 from time to time, like every other day…
I can’t fall asleep to these, although I’ve read all of the short stories and the novels, these adaptations are new to me and they engage my brain too much.
I’m willing to bet after 8-10 viewings however, my brain will be at ease and many naps will ensue.
If you haven’t seen it, you might be interested in Mr. Holmes, which I mentioned above. It shows a 93-year-old Holmes [spoiler] dealing with a failing memory and regrets.
