Pretending to be a ‘virtual intelligence’ that is pretending to respond to questions? I’m pretending to comment on a website about it.

(I don’t think ‘artificial intelligence’ makes sense for these things. I like the sci-fi notion of a ‘virtual intelligence’ that simulates something smart enough for people to interact with, and which is not actually self-aware or intelligent in a human or biological sense.)
