Augmented reality system for aligning pool shots

That’s very cool. Projection mapping and depth cameras have been used for bowling, dark rides and even martial arts (Falcon’s Creative Group). The databasing of shots is interesting. I’m guessing those records can identify common mistakes.

Reminds me of an old Quantum Leap episode in which Sam had to pose as a pool shark and Al was able to help his game by overlaying a holographic projection on the table that only Sam could see.

I thought this seemed familiar

Reminds me of Donald in Mathmagic Land (1959) during the pool scene.

I could only find this still, but the scene animates paths of pool. I honestly think the Quantium Leap scene took a few pages from this scene.

If only Donald had an associate who could aid him with technology.

I wonder if it can tell what kind of spin you’re putting on the ball and take that into account. Also, you still have to be able to shoot straight

Sort of annoying: three minutes of what, and zero seconds of how.
