The concern here isn’t limited to hentai, it is any cartoon that depicts minors.
Hentai is the largest and easiest target to go after.
There was a case about 10 years ago where an Australian judge ruled that a Simpsons ripoff that showed the kids engaging in sexual acts was child pornography.
Given that ruling there has been a huge crackdown on this stuff.
So it’s not as simple as “Australians are racist” however true that might be, it’s more a case of the conservative influence in Australia has a tendency to make these huge knee jerk reactions when it comes to anything to do with pedophilia except the catholic church.
