Betsy DeVos ends ban on crooked loan-collectors in the student debt biz

It doesn’t matter that you know this is bullsht, The ONLY thing that matters is that there are enough people who believe the bullsht and who vote to keep these people in power so that the game can continue.

They’re all for state’s rights until they’re not. See medical marijuana.

State’s rights that benefit dirty hippies are a no-go.

I think it’s an in-joke too; there’s an awareness that you can have liberalization that looks like holistic creative local inclusive optimism and that by the time it hits the pavement, liability one is retroactive consistency as impossible brutish toadying. “Oh, and 3Dick said there can be no more than 1 horse together, and that the goal was A Horse in the Kingdom’s reach.” That said, I’d assimilate the Davros from Video Gaiden ep. 4ish-9ish (Scottish ITV?) put together from dryer hose and stuff.

So there’s no Federal Requirement that the letter go through implementation review (involving compliance and cutting redundancy) when mumble fiat will do? Recompete is clearly just ftfy bid cycle bits…will the Teachers cast be able to stage it capably during BorderSec Asia?

I don’t think we’ve gotten that very last bit quite done yet.

Are you sure? Half the country voted drumpf. A little over a third still supports the orange anti-christ.
Those unhappy with the current regime are considered expendable and measures such as this exist specifically to crush those of the literati who are not coming from wealth.

As a matter of incontrovertible mathematical fact, a tiny bit more than a quarter of eligible voters voted for Trump. Not everyone in the country is an eligible voter, meaning significantly less than one quarter of the country voted for Trump.

It’s the CFPB they really want to screw–it’s Warren’s baby, it’s doing OUTSTANDING work giving consumers some backup against predatory companies, and the GOP can’t stand it.

Nobody voted for Trump because they love their servitude. People voted for Trump because they either love the servitude of others, or because they hate their servitude, they are just very, very confused about who has enslaved them, and who is trying to free them.

Just don’t say I’m damned for all time.

I dunno bro, I get a serious ‘Dear Leader’ vibe from most drumpfists.

Folks, please remember that we still have the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act) which applies to debt collections all across the country. It sets the baseline for acceptable collections practices, and individual states may have more strict rules of their own. If you’re being harassed or if collectors appear to be using bad information to collect money they’re not due, document what’s going on and contact an attorney about potential FDCPA violations.

Yes, but because they think that Trump will break the bonds of their servitude. He’s their rebel leader, their Sparticus. They’re using all the same “boot on the face” memes that we are. But they are enslaved by minorities, coastal elites, Cultural Marxists, socialists, the IRS, multiculturalists, environmentalists, public education, secular society and the Obamas…still, apparently.

I think he’s using this gif from Goodfellas as a representation of the bill collector. Though in this scene he’s kicking another mobster for a different infraction. The below scene is De Niro trying to get money.
However - I see your point.

If I’m reading it right, this change means that if your bear-friend had previously mauled a bunch of people, that previous behaviour could not be held against them when considering the position of debt collector.
If you’re setting up a new bear-debt-collection agency then nothing has changed.

And if it happens in a forest and the bear doesn’t corroborate the mauling report, it didn’t happen.

What happens in the forest stays in the forest.
