Black Lives Matter. Still

So much of what James Baldwin said is still relevant today.

It’s worth reading the replies to this:

Oops, the guy we killed was not the shooter, but he was black and fleeing, so we assume he was involved.

Of course, the “good guy with a gun” is assumed to be a white guy, and a black guy with a gun is known as a “target”. “He shouldn’t have been holding the gun” that he had a permit to carry in a situation where someone was actually shooting. He would be a hero if only he had less pigment…

The casualties go beyond the direct targets.

Hope, maybe? Of course, the fact the victim was an undercover cop makes this a fairly unique case.

“My son was murdered by this officer…That ain’t training. That’s cowardice.”

The father of a 21-year-old man “mistakenly” killed by a police officer in an Alabama mall says an independent autopsy shows his son was shot three times in the back.

Cyntoia Brown. Marissa Alexander. Jacqueline Dixon.

Notice what they have in common?

I hate the British press

And now the S*n are saying it isn’t their fault that racism is coming back to football and Sterling was called a B***k C**t on Saturday.

For a FUCKING calculator? Jesus fucking christ on a cracker.
