Sometimes I think simpler UIs like this make more sense than their modern counterparts. It’s like designers learned the wrong lessons from such minimalist designs.

Dutch TV still provides Teletext and what’s more: it’s accessible on the internet 
https://nos.nl/teletekst? There’s even an app! Apparently enough people still use it (i know i do). It’s minimalistic and dependable. No pictures; no ads. Love it!
