We sort of had ChatGPT in the 1980s – Racter. It was considerably better than ELIZA and was probably the best chatbot ever created until maybe five years ago.

I was going to say, I remember some similar program to the one above. I want to say the game was called Freud or something like that. Where you could ask it questions and it would answer. Played it at a friends house. It was pretty eerie for the time.
