This is why the smarter rich people don’t want the wealth inequality to get too bad. They may complain about taxation, but it’s infinitely preferable to a revolution. (This applies to the poor people, as well. Things have to be really fucking bad before a revolution starts looking like a better option. The historical record is not good.)

That’s a real thing in Trier, the birthplace of Marx; and although it’s probably safe to assume that the people in the city government who put this up are not communists, it’s still nice.
