Cry havoc and let slip the ladybugs of war

How are these “ladybug hotels” for fire-prevention and childcare?

I can’t say enough good stuff about using neem. It’s saved my garden from aphids numerous times.

Thats what I have been using to prevent them this year. Later in the year I will use Captain Jack’s Dead Bug or Pyrithin when any other bad bugs pop up, and those three seem to control most bug problems. All organic, all applied in the evening so they don’t bother the bees. And the occasional spray of bt.

I’ll have to check out Captain Jacks and Pyrithin. Thanks for the pro tip

From the Pesco post thread about aphids born pregnant…

My mom worked for a summer packaging those bags full of ladybugs. It involves being covered in ladybugs for most of the day, as well as finding ladybugs crawling on you long after work’s over. Fun fact: ladybugs can bite you, and it’s apparently quite painful, but they are unlikely to do so. And probably sorry for doing it afterward.
