Cyber/steampunk watch built around an ex-Soviet IVL2-7/5 VFD display tube

Worse, it’s got little tubes coming off of it!

I own a few hundred of the Nixie tube (NL4998) that this watch would be made from, if it were to be made with real Nixie tubes. It’s on my list of Things To Do.

Ah I didn’t realize it was a real one! Love the look of it in the game. That said, it seems to be pretty thin - thinner than the NL4998?

“VFD display tube” = Vacuum Fluorescent Display display tube

argh

I can write a software program to fix that automatically for you.

Any Nixie tube that appears in a video game is by definition half as thick as a real Nixie tube.
The real Metro: Last Light watch will be about 25mm thick. Maybe 28mm, or 30mm.

Would you be writing it in the JDE Environment?

not butterflies? I am disappointed.

Ah. I didn’t think of that, because it’s not compatible with my OS system.

Ideally everything except the battery clips (insides, facing the battery) and the face of the display should be clear conformal coated to at least resist short circuits.

Sure, let me know your price and I’ll just drop by the ATM machine and get some cash out with my PIN number.
