for anyone who wants to bug out to the original works, the OP link doesn’t provide any pics. try this instead
They have a copy of Smoke at LACMA which is a constant source of embarrassment to the conservation department because they have not figured out a practical way to keep it dust free. It always bears the streaks of failed experiments.
So, yeah, dust.
