Do we have a truly free and equal society that isn’t run by the drama queens and assholes among us? Where resources are distributed fairly and everybody is guaranteed a decent standard of living consistent with the resources we actually have?
Then nope, not really.
Though I’d argue that ‘banks’ is a pretty broad term and the failure there is specific to our economic system. I think our banking issues are more contextual than fundamental.
