Working in a bureaucracy, I have been amazed at how much one director/vice president/etc. tends to resemble the next. Even if you know them beforehand and they didnât seem like that, as soon as they take on the new role they act like the last person in that role acted. It feels like that shouldnât work on such a micro level, but I watch it happen again and again. Not to everyone, but certainly to a lot of people.
