Don’t worry, Conobregma bradpitti looks nothing like the photo here. It was a small parasitic wasp in the family Braconidae that reminded someone of Brad Pitt, not a mere yellow jacket.

The heteropoda davidbowie (subspecies of Huntsman spider) didn’t make it to this list, because the late David bowie was born three years too early (1947).

In honor of Brad Pitt, there is a parasitic wasp from South Africa named Conobregma bradpitti .

I think Tucker Carlson would be a more appropriate namesake for a parasitic WASP.
