What a lovely obituary! The author shows his true love for Mr Burger with such meticulous research and graceful prose. Would that we could all live lives worthy of such praise at our deaths.
Since nearly BoingBoing’s beginning, posts here have often touched me with their wit, humor, intrigue, or insight. This was the first time I felt compelled to register, just so I could comment.
I never met Eugene Burger (although I was at the Magic Castle one evening–one of my only handful of visits there–and was told he had just left). But I feel as if I did meet him personally through this fine tribute to him.
