Oh no, of course it does, all proposed concepts for a fusion reactor do generate radioactive waste. Granted, it’s less than in the case of fission reactors, but you don’t want to be close to a malfunctioning fusion reactor.

Somewhere or other I’ve got an old book called “Airshipwreck” about how various airships came to an end. In quite a few cases it was stuff like “gently blown against hanger by 2km/h wind and quietly folded in half”.
