This has always been where some of the hardest work has been, dealing with this sort of societal prejudices. If we can fix it here, we can fix it anywhere.

besides my stubbornness against being forced to leave my 7th-8th generation native state, i also feel that as a 6th grade teacher i have a chance to model the positive liberal values i hold so dear to the children of my republican community.

Keep up the good work! And thanks for doing that work. It’s incredibly undervalued in our society and teaching middle schoolers is tough.
