Sheesh this is basically SneakerNet but for nukes.

That list… oh dear oh dear. Thanks for the link.
Would make a good screenplay. And #87 is a good guideline, actually.
Oh agreed!
Or documentary, assuming Specialist Schwarz’s military career is well and truly over,
forever.
There’s a lot of good guidelines.
I should probably adopt more of them myself.
Everybody is getting prepared…
Stick with the classics:
Funny how Raymond Briggs gets all the love for “The Snowman.” Not sure why Channel 4 don’t show “When The Wind Blows” every Christmas instead.
“Mr. President, I’m not saying we wouldn’t get our hair mussed. But I do say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh, depending on the breaks.”
just another example of how post-boomers’ standards of living are far below those of their parents–it pains me to think about the sweet suburban bunker i could have built by now if it weren’t for the crippling student loan debt and rigged economy.
On the other hand, don’t have to pay student loans if you’ve been converted to so much ash by way of thermonuclear fire, so it’s a tossup.

yes, i’m weighing all my options at this point.
They’re getting ready for what Trump does when he loses in 2020 and won’t leave the White House.
I am far more bothered about the use of the word strike as a substitute for bombing. When the US military uses the term “surgical strike”, I get this image of making sure the patient dies by detonating a 500 pound bomb within the operating room, killing the entire surgical team plus many others outside it. After all, only bad guy doctors and nurses would treat bad guys, or even suspected bad guys (snark, snark).
“Our studies show that even the worst fallout is down to a safe level after two weeks.”
Literally.
Yeah, if we were honest in our language about what war really looks like, maybe we’d finally start growing out of it. Goddamn primitives, we are.
nope, detonate a 10 pound bomb in the operating theatre and then some minutes later the 500 pound bomb to kill relatives, first responders and the ones you didn’t get the first time. “Double dip”.
