Ireland has more sense than Scotland did.
To be fair, a lot of Scots did oppose the golf course.
If emissions also includes noise pollution this is good.
Get well Greta, the World needs you.
I may have some small reservations (get it) about parts of the airline emissions part of the plan.
(Basically I’m in the “offsets are indulgences bought by the rich to allow them to continue their climate sins” camp. My view is that the emissions, once emitted, are a certainty and will persist for hundreds of or a couple thousand years, while the offset is unlikely to continue offsetting that long.)
Noise reduction would be awesome. I’ve been enjoying not being overflown every half hour this week. I went for a hike Sunday and bike rides Monday and Tuesday, and the reduced noise is great. (I’m also seeing discarded latex/nitrile gloves along the road, that’s new.)
Speaking of airplanes, I had no idea that they were the source of so much weather data.

It will be hard to keep isolation in these places.
Oh, look, I have no fucks to give.
Oh, golly jeepers, what a shame.
Then let’s pour money into old coal country to help them rebuild a proper, sustainable economy that doesn’t lock people into a dangerous job that poisons our planet. Let’s not forget the coal miners and their families, in other words.
Coronavirus is not an agent with decision-making power, but yeah.
