Yeah, Mélenchon is terrible. Not as bad as Le Pen, but still terrible. He’s not Sanders-esque, except in the sense that he’s the leftmost candidate who has even an outside chance of success.
(Basically: do not project American politics to European countries, or expect that “Left” automatically means good or reasonable in comparison to the alternatives on the right.)
