This is genius, but I’m sure we’re minutes away from Covid/vaxx denialists having a meltdown because of it’s use of rainbow based technology.

A simple police breathalyzer can only detect alcohol. This new device can test for a wide range of things all at once. Patient privacy will be a big issue.

For example, someone tests negative for Covid, but the raw data goes to their health provider, or police, and then they check it for a whole lot of other things.

But that would be illegal so no worries.

there is hippa, and generally doctors won’t report you for drug abuse unless you’ve committed a specific crime they’re obligated to report. but, it’s still a good point. and that data will certainly be aggregated and probably collected by vendor with as little anonymity as the law allows

the insurance companies also will be chomping at the bits to figure out who they can charge more for and what they can deny

with great power comes great (shareholder) responsibility
