Not being able to pet the dogs is the only flaw in Zelda: Breathe of the Wild. At least you can still play with them and feed them.

Cosmic Osmo went one step further - you had to rub the dog’s belly to continue.
As noted in the latest tweet, you cannot pet the dog in Shadow of The Collossus.

Yes, I came to post this. I have spent too long on Enter the Gungeon, but I will have to reenter with this update.
You don’t see the missing fishing rod as flaw? I mean bomb fishing works, sure, but it’s not exactly the relaxing way of doing it…

The account seems to have lost the plot lately, though - all petable animals have become “dogs” for its purposes.
Other than April 1st, I see only dogs. Maybe one wolf.

Watchdogs 2 you can pet the dogs. I did that often.
