I have literally no opinion on the merits of subversion versus git, but subversion is still around.
I’m sure he doesn’t want his job back, but would love that sweet, sweet wrongful termination payment. And I hope he gets it. Twice as much as he sues for.
And the FBI is on the naughty list again because they publicly stated there was no evidence of Antifa involvement.
I hope they use that as a defense in the wrongful termination suit. Oh please, oh please, oh please!

The migration away from github started when microsoft bought it (and the story could have mentioned that this is a microsoft run company now). This nazi-coddling bullshit should hasten the exodus.

And a Jewish person, or really most non-Anglos, seeing an armed mob with Nazi and Confederate flags coming for them, is not going stop and say, hey, where do you guys think you slot in, exactly, on the white supremacist political spectrum? GitLab is open source, so you can run your own instance of it.
Sourcehut is another one that I have an eye on: https://sourcehut.org/ It still looks to be in public alpha, but the guy running the dev team is really bright and definitely not a nazi (nor would he put up with them). It’s also open source.

Never used it so I can’t speak to functionality, but gitlab has pages that should work like github’s.

That makes me wonder if their network auto-reported an employee using the word “Nazi” and everything flowed from there. Still stupid not to have a human conversation about it, but if that kicked it off it wouldn’t surprise me.
Operative word remains “git.”
