My household embedded as Raspberry PI into an old color portable so it just turns on and plays stuff in all it’s 4:3 glory. We call it the Ghost TV.
Cant you just change your color settings to black and white?
I have an original XBox connected to a big old CRT for emulation purposes. RCA > RF modulator > coax. It’s noisy as hell, but in that good way. I was able to stream Hulu through XBMC4Xbox a few years ago, but no one’s maintaining it anymore unfortunately.
It’s not the same. There’s scanlines and flicker you’re missing out on.
