When I was a little kid in the 70s, I was a huge fan of a beloved Ohio/Detroit/briefly a few other cities late night weekend horror movie host. The Ghoul. He used mad background/bumper/incidental music. Who Stole the Kiscza? (sp?) and other weird polkas, mostly good rock music of the moment, the XLNT parodies they’d written, They’re Coming to Take Me Away and lotsa other novelty records, including the “Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow” section of Surfin’ Bird.
I don’t remember ever hearing The Rivingtons’ Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow until now. Thanks again.
