It just goes to show you, one doesn’t have to be a raging capitalist to remain an ultra-wealthy arsehole edgelord.
Odds are good he turns to fascism or a nasty strain of religious fundamentalism later in his life.
How long before he gets an invitation to visit Havana, Caracas or Pyongyang?
Peter Kropotkin did it better 150 years ago
He must be pretty confused if he thinks that this is philosophically consistent.
As with many brocialists and anarkiddies and tankies, there’s a good chance he doesn’t know who Kropotkin is. He’s the sort who thinks “Sachs” when you ask his opinion of Goldman.
“introduces the reader to a fascinating, complicated character”
Or rather, fawns over a spoiled nepo baby, a hardcore junkie and a supporter of most of the worst people in history and today.
The judgment of people at Boing Boing to platform this awful character is really questionable.
I didn’t realize having a story about an asshole, exposing their assholishness, was the same as providing a place for them to proselytize. Damn.
Discussing an individual and criticising them != “platforming” them.
The Rolling Stone article isn’t completely uncritical either.
Sadly this is not too surprising. There’s a name for fools like this: TANKIE
Your comments introducing yourself to the community along with your profile pic certainly paints a picture.
Superman would never hurl personal insults at a non-crime-committing complete stranger.
“'Cause when love is gone, there’s always justice / And when justice is gone, there’s always force / And when force is gone, there’s always Mom”
O Superman
You know, if you actually hung around here, you’d note that many of us are down with radical politics and are quite knowledgeable about the history of communism, anarchism, labor unions, etc… But you’ve just decided instead to attack the entire community without doing the work to understand said community… Your loss.
But anywayz…
I guess.
Brief Tangent:
A late friend lost his virginity while O Superman was playing.
No pressure there.
He was an excellent drummer, so timing and rhythm weren’t any problem
