LOVE that one.
We did projects in design school where one painted a 1" square, and then put a round dot in the middle (from a paper punch) of a different color. The same color on various other backgrounds took whole different shades.

I noticed an engineering drawing perspective of a bar end and how you show a kind of three-d mock

there were some vague comments about the dress on imdb on the movie “kiki”
upload a gif (or png, or jpg if you aren’t down with the whole animation thing). I doubt handcoding svg will work.
I’m brain dead at the moment

This is why after painting my house last week, I have resolved to never attempt picking paint colors ever again.
I will instead look at the promotional materials provided by the painting company, pick the room I like best, and just order the colors listed in the caption.
The dress was obviously a Harris Tweed mardale skirt with windowpane patterns and employed subtle shades of tan, fuscia, grey, and crimson. You can tell by the warp and woof, and I’ve seen quite the lot of warps and woofs in my time.
Sweet Jesus. If you have a spouse who was part of the process and/or perceives color differently than you, you deserve to drink yourself into a coma. Go ahead, you’ve earned it. Start early and you will be fine for work tomorrow.
Try using a Sharpie on your monitor screen.

It takes a special person to make a Weaver joke, and an even more special person to get it.
Let’s sea, I’ve got aquatic jokes, food jokes, textile jokes, technology jokes, car jokes, cagey jokes… What am I missing?
Was it Salem?
On the website of a French newspaper, there’s a map showing the results of yesterday’s election, département by département, in nuences of purple. As a result, you only can tell if two neighboring départements are in the same bracket or one voted more for Macron than the other, but nothing more. And you hardly can compare non-neighboring départements. Poor choice of a color chart. As long as they had chosen to slice the results into brackets, they could have chosen more distinct colors.
Not animated, but the same basic idea: https://xkcd.com/1492/
