Seems decidedly optimistic with the available internet bandwidth there IMHO
(Streaming audio + loading websites, streaming audio/video?) That is assuming dial-up i guess, maybe possible with ISDN? (never used it myself, suffered on 56k modems for years before jumping to 512k ADSL when it became available)

That’s what the RJ-45 port is for. You just plug that into the socket in your dorm room. (The SGI Indy did have a ISDN port, but that predates the iMac by several years.)
