Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to make one out of palm leaves, and he’s entertained for five minutes, but still hungry.

If you go to the Caribbean and a guy offers to sell you a woven palm frond hat, the one with the fish or bird sticking out of the top…it’s about three times the price.
It’s not about the craftsmanship…it’s about what’s inside the bird / fish.
There were several ballot initiatives in the US this year to legalize the selling and use of woven fish.
