I am halfway through it and while Bogost is a better writer than 99% of hacks writing on blogs, he has convinced me the opposite of the thesis presented in the intro; video games are nothing more than Toasters.

I should probably read this book because the current way I talk about video games is in loud yelly exclamations to my kids to stop playing the damn things and go outside.

If I could learn to talk about games more properly would it mean that when I do so others would listen instead of ignoring me?
