Eh, I had one that required a special fork-like tool that would disengage two separate pieces of a locking mechanism (much like the mechanism on a tamper-proof outlet).
While the iFixit score for both of these watches is certainly higher, I’m not sure how this translates to being realistically more user-serviceable.
In fact, the articles note that both of the watches you mention have “A fused display assembly, glued into the front of the device, makes screen replacement a little difficult and costly”, whereas replacing the Apple Watch display is “difficult, but not impossible—it’s the first component out, simplifying replacement.”
When it comes to what components a person is going to end up needing to replace on their watch, I would put money on the display being a more common need than, say, the main board or speaker.
