Cost is exactly the issue. For the cost of a basic Nespresso machine, you can get a basic espresso machine that does not have the steam pressure necessary to make a consistent espresso, and you have to do your own grinding (burr grinder adds more to the total cost), and you either have to use the usually inadequate steam wand in that machine to make the milk or else you need yet another appliance of some kind. And of course you need the counter space and a way to keep your open bag of coffee beans fresh. And donāt forget cleaning all those appliances each time!
Sometimes the time, energy and financial cost of making something perfectly isnāt worth itā¦sometimes good enough really is good enough.
