The exhibit of works by Ganson at the MIT Museum is one of my favorite things to visit in Cambridge.

A particular favorite of mine is “Faster!”

And that wishbone one is also pretty great.

This artist is amazing!

Came here to ask whether that exhibit was still there. My favorite piece is the chain of gears whose ratio is such that the final gear is embedded immovably in a solid block, since it will take until the heat death of the Universe to complete a rotation

ETA: Ah! Here it is:

It seems a bit smaller than the exhibit in the old space, but the current exhibit has some very nice pieces.

That wishbone’s got quite the swagger. Tiny 6-shooters on its hips would not look out of place.

Simply amazing - thank you, Popkin , @mick129, @Jerry_Vandesic , @Otherbrother (ETA ahhh and @elmer!) for introducing me to Ganson and their art. Really fascinating stuff, with such intriguing choices and presentation
