IMO the guy is an utter turkey for buying a watch he didn’t even want.
Well, he made a nice profit. Ended up without the watch he did not want, but with a lot of intrinsically worthless but for some reason widely accepted value-representing tokens that are exchangeable for a sizable amount of goods and services he may actually want.
I’d call it a win.
Actually, he ended up trading for the watch he wanted, a trip to SF, lobster and fries, and some of those tokens. So a pretty good score for less than the price of the lobster.
Nice to hear he made a donation. The store having its name published could be a good thing, they will probably see hoards of bargain hunters descend to sift through their wares.
Lobster = classy. Lobster roll, not so much. At least not in New England where it’s fast food.
