Brilliant!

nightmare material

I just came here to figure out how to get my sofa out of the stairwell.

This must be he first appropriate use of the word “quantum” in a product description ever.

Very true, they’ve actually released a great deal of open source and free code since Satya Nadella took the helm. And they continue to host Russinovich’s free sysinternals code (admittedly as part of the deal with hiring him, but still they’re doing it).

As for paying high end researchers, I do not have to admire them for that, except in the sense of recognizing that they’re not stupid. Research always pays off in the long run, and MS has been positioning for the very long run since 640KB was enough for anybody.

Is your New Years' resolution to start writing quantum-computing algorithms as a side hustle?

Only if I can find a deeply discounted webinar that will teach me to do it in a “White Hat” fashion.
