Firefox 52, released last year, is the last version to support XP. The current version is 59, with 60 coming out next month.
You’ve been getting updates because they silently moved you over to v52 ESR. ESR releases get one year of security updates. You will stop getting updates in June.

After reading through the whole case, I am still confused as I feel both sides are making a big deal out of a very small problem.
The guy obviously deserves punishment for CLONING the Microsoft OS reinstall CD. He thought he can get away with it because “But Microsoft offers it for download free!” But 15 months in jail? Really?
If he sold each for $2 and the media label actually says "The media is provided for your convenience and backup only. Content of this disc can be downloaded for free at (Microsoft URL). You will need a valid Microsoft license key (not included) to use this disc. " Would he be in as much trouble as he is now?

Nice of them to tell me in advance so that I could make plans to shift off their browser.
Well, counterfeiting is what he actually pleaded guilty to.
